Biker Killed After Crash Near Ferryhill

A biker has died after his machine left the road and crashed with a fence and trees near Ferryhill yesterday afternoon.
Police say for some reason the rider, a local man thought to be in his mid 50s lost control of his Triumph 675cc.
He was confirmed dead at the scene.
He has been positively identified and police will be releasing his name once it's confirmed all family members have been informed.
It happened on Middridge Road near Rushyford as he was heading from the direction of Woodham golf course towards Rushyford..
Police are appealing for anyone who was on the road at that time on Sunday afternoon and may have seen the black Triumph bike to contact them via 101.
