Darlington's Crown Street Library is getting kids reading for the next 2 months

The BOO! exhibition begins next week, celebrating the art of the picture book

With work from a variety of artists...

Including Darlington's own childrens author and illustrator Liz Million,

And Stuart Trotter - illustrator of the beloved Rupert The Bear books

The organisers are hoping to engage and widen participation in the arts as well as offer a variety of curated exhibitions which appeal to the whole community.

It will all culminate on the 23rd October with the BOO! Birthday Bash.

As this year marks the 150th birthday of the Alice in Wonderland books historian and author, Chris Lloyd will give a talk on the enduring popularity of Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland and the things which inspired his writing, including his connection to Croft on Tees and Darlington.
